Richard Judd
Richard Judd designs and builds many pieces from coffee tables to dining room furniture suites. His use of hardwoods and highly figured veneers takes advantage of the beautiful color palette of natural woods.
Judd’s work in architecture and the building trades led to formation of business as a designer and craftsman since 1984. He is always working on new designs of custom furniture in beautiful woods, letting it speak for itself. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his art furniture, including the Midwest Fellowship National Endowment for the Arts and Wisconsin Arts Board Fellowships and Grants. Judd’s work is also part of the book “Making Contemporary Wooden Tables” by Thomas Stender, which includes four table designs and construction techniques.
Judd received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 1975.
