Mea Rhee
Mea Rhee’s aesthetics are guided by her Korean heritage, Maryland upbringing, and graphic design education. The designs are minimal and rustic. The colors are gray and brown – the colors of rocks and dirt – so they are like natural objects that have been dug out of the ground.
Rhee’s goal is to make pots that appeal to anyone who wants a stylish and functional home, while always satisfying the cravings of serious pottery geeks. Each piece is made by hand, with devotion to the skill and science of pottery. The pots are fired to approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit, and are durable enough to be used every day.
Above all, they are functional and safe for dishwasher, microwave, and oven.
Mea Rhee lives and works in Silver Spring, Maryland
