Gilles Payette

Gilles Payette first trained in sculpture at the I’Ecole de sculpture de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli in 1970. He later studied foundry art, working with cast bronze and aluminum.
In 1990, Payette took training in glass pouring and kiln casting in several different countries, including study at the Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle; apprenticeship under Bertil Vallien at the New York Experimental Glass Workshop; and apprenticeship under David Reekie at Espace Verre, Montreal.
Since 1995, Payette has produced one-of-a-kind and limited edition sculpture. His work is found in private and public collections throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
